If you are very patient in nature, I would recommend MS Paint.
For anyone sane: Checkout Photoshop or GIMP. That is if you want to do it digitally. You can always use more traditional painting methods of course.

Agreed, I confess I didn't notice at first it was painted (thought it was just a strange lightning in the room).
@Verene: when I registered on the gallery progress site, it promised me to send some activation code which I never got, is it normal? :S

thanks everyone
The cuirass opens and closes on the right hand side, both on the strap around the back and the neck guard, with bra closures!
I had some to spare after sacrificing some bras "for the greater good" (to make costumes) so I used them. You can buy them in any shop these days though. Makes for really tight closures, and they bend around any curve of your body. They can also handle a fair amount of strain.
And no, costumes don't store easily.... >.>'
I have a fairly big basement storage room though, so that's where I usually put them. I organize them by costume and/or size in big cardboard boxes. I sometimes cut them up along the "seams" and seperate the pieces if I need more room, they're pretty easy to repair.
For body-paint I use snazaroo, they come in little round boxes much like water colours. I sponge the colours on and mix them on my skin. My silver was riddiculously low in pigment though, I wonder if it's expired or something. I used 1/4 of the sizeable pad just to cover up my skin-tone. Actually, I still couldn't cover it up properly. I'm gonna have to buy a new one I guess. And thanks for the colour advice, I'll dab in a lot more blue next time!
I also added a new blog entry about painting!
First post is updated with new entrants.

@ Jasmine - I've been going in and manually activating any accounts that I see under "requires activation". So don't worry about it - if you have a gallery on there, then your account is active and usable.
@ Tzu - ahhh, I see. I usually don't do side closures because they're so annoying to do up XD bra closures FTW, though. I love them.
And costume storage...there's a conversation topic that tends to have my mom wanting to kill me XDD

Suggestion, pls.
Her hair are killing me... I absolutly have no idea what to do with them. Need to do some other modifications too... once I figure out what and how.

Well, I shaded the figure ^_^
I'm rather proud of it, my first shading job
LOL I'll quit saying first this and that, cuz everything is a first here
I had major trouble with the armor's gold, I never knew it could be so difficult to make something look like shiny gold O_o
She's turning out to be quite a detailed chibi, hehe
I tried putting less detail in it, but it bugged me :P
I think I'll take a day's break before I start Grenth, gotta let my poor fingers uncramp
Hope you guys like it ^_^

ooooh I luv that chibi Dwayna!! She makes me happy
great job on that sculpture, Odinius, very original idea and executed very well!
Good to see that activity in the workshop has picked up again. Unfortunately my painting mood is untracable at the moment, I'll finish my piece as soon as I can get hold of that.

Minami, chibi dwayna looks excellent so far! Well done, you! I can't believe it's your first time! O.o'
And Odinius, that's a very original and cool idea, I love the little spring leaves beginning to grow on the tree. Dwayna obviously won this time around!
EDIT: Miss Temptress is now the Chief Organizer of the Workshop party! Big thanks to her for volunteering! If anyone else wants to help me and her organize the end party, please PM me. We will be able to post more detailed requirements for staff once we've drafted a schedule. Whether volunteering or not, this is your chance to tell us what you'd like to see at the party (of minigames, contests, etc)!
